right to alot of you this will seem like a very stupid post but i feck all about the engine side of cars really and i want to know abit obout engine rebuilds
ei
1, how much roughly?
2, what actaully happens to the engine?
3, is it like having a new engine?
as i said at the start sorry if this seems like a stupid post

1: depends on what u want doing
2: ne thing from a rebore, to just seals etc
3: depends how much u wanna do/spend

1.piece of string job price wise depends what you have done
2.depend what it need/you want done a bottom end re-build may be a re-bore,big and little ends,crank re-grind and piston rings but on top of that you may have new pistons,gudgen pins,conrods,rod bolt and new/uprated oil pump
3 see above depends how far you want to go with it and depends if you want to tune it as well
as for the head you can get them skimed,flowed,polished,ported ,larger valves and lots more depend what you want

basically it would b either for my car or a new car i have in mind as they would both b hittin 100, 000 soon so i wanna have a rebuild dun to b sure its not on its way out

If you get it rebuilt properly then it is like having a new engine as you have to run them in if you want them to last.
