Noones going to die just because one person doesn't make an illegal/dangerous manoeuvre. If you cross a red, and someone else hits you, then you've not helped anyone and they'll be needing another ambulance.

The sames goes if someone hits an ambulance right? In fact, its worse, cause then they need 2 more. So why are they allowed to cross a red if they think its safe?

Because they've got blue flashing lights, they're reflective, and they've got a bloody siren. You can't really miss an ambulance.

Thats true and its the siren thats warns people and gets them to slow down, the same would still apply if someone needs to cross a red to let someone past, if teh siren is on, people should be slowing to to look out for the hazard so the chance of an accident in that situation should be minimal at worst and not really any greater then just the ambulance crossing the lights itself.
