How is it going for everyone??

I have been back just over 2 weeks now...feeling fitter everyday...Sunday was a killer in the blazing heat trained from 11.30-2.30....training again tomorrow and wednesday...first friendly is a week wednesday...

Cant wait to get back into match action...feet have a couple of blisters due to the hard ground but they settled down quickly...

Only problem I have is a holiday to Ibiza in August which will break my rythmn...

But will hopefully be fit as a fiddle before I go so it shouldnt effect me too much...

been there and got that T-Shirt, one bad reason for living 15mins from them!

Plus on the pitches where I used to train (behind Tarleton High School) there are alot of small hills and one massive one which used to feature in all the runs we did

I have incorporated a lot of gym and weights work into my preparations this year...

Its left me a little tired and drained in training but it will be worth it...

started up proper pre-season on Sunday, heat was a killer but it was still good. Almost threw up due to the curry and magners the night before, won't be doing that come the new season

For the first time we were practising set-pieces which was good. Took a few corners and the new manager was impressed

Want to get even fitter though so I can run around like a nutter for the full 90 minutes, thinking about going for a run 3 or 4 times a week after work...

Heat isn't an issue for me, I'm used to it, started doing some circuit training then a little 50minute game for the first 2 sessions, then last week we did a lot of passing, free kicks, set-piece work and penalties, first friendly on 6th August against Johnnie Quinn allstars at Parkgate, team includes Chris Waddle, David Hirst, Imray Varadi, Mel Sterland (His brother Glynn is my manager).

Nice, you'll be able to tell me how to chop him down then.

http://themailcoach.moonfruit.com/ I have not yet been added to the squadlist as I'm one of their new signings, I play my serious football on Saturdays, this is just a kick about.
