i have always said i would never rent as its dead money.
But!!
Im thinking of moving out and renting an appartment.
Now do I move out and rent a nice appartment or stay at home and put the monthly rental into savings?
To buy a place id like near where i live im looking at £150k plus just for a two bed appartment.
£200k for a house.

I honestly think renting is a good option for first time moving out to see how you cope. I won't be buying until I can afford somewhere I really like and renting means I can live somewhere i like for now. Either going to buy with a mate or a lady if I meet one ( ) hopefully in the next 18 months

Im renting as the house prices are still too high imo. Renting some where big enough to live but small enough to allow me to save at the same time.

I've been looking for flats down south as that's where I'm most likely to find a job I think. Some extortionate prices though, have to really shop around for a good deal

I would stay put and put away the money, maybe get a standing order each month from your current wages to help aid and put towards a house or nice flat you can get a mortgage for

Two months rent as a deposit
Embracing the joys of paying council tax
Bills Bills Bills
Dead money
Personally I'd stay at the folks and save for a deposit on a house. By renting you probably wont be able to afford to save squat

Best I found so far was £575 a month for an apartment with hall, lounge, double bedroom, kitchen and bedroom, off street allocated parking and £625 deposit. That's in Brentwood.
