For some reason, my spare wheel will fit the rear nearside but wont fit on the rear offside? Is there a chance a previous owner had a wrong drum fitted? There are alloys on the car at the moment but when i offer up the spare the bore is just too big for the spare to go onto the drum.

Any help would be great.

Its there a spacer left on the hub from your alloy wheels? Got stuck on?

This happened to me too, easy to do. Check for a little black ring.

I did the same years ago
managed to forget to take the spigot ring off and squashed it flat lol
