Which is quicker do you think, both as of standard. Coz them Rallye's are pretty quick. Im on about a 2.0 Corsa / Nova VS a 1.6 Rallye 106..

So.. Just curious!

^ Why's that? A Rallye hasn't got the acceleration like a 20xe. They aint that quick, standard ones can't even keep with VTS's can they?

Thanks anyway tho mate.

they arent that quick in a straight line granted. but in the right hands this car will be very similar to a 106 GTi on track. It has less power but is lighter.

a standard 106 rallye/gti chassis is leagues ahead of even a modded corsa/nova in terms of handling.

iirc the kerb weight of a 1.6 sport is 950kg? dont know if thats with air con and elec windows though.

i would guess a 2.0 closer to a ton? if stripped maybe low to mid 900kg?

s1 1.3 rallye is 800kg i think, the S1 is closer to 850.

A corsa with the 2ltr weights about a ton, mine did anyways

As for straight line speed, I would imaging there bein nothin in it till 80+mph

As for on a track the corsa/Nova aint really got a look in

power isn't everything on the track

lad of novaload who used to run a 1.4 t40 nova could have 2.0 16v nova's off on the track, couldn't have them on the strights, but as soon you he got a bend he was all over them
