ahh well thats alrite tom but doing a whole car in it is a right pain in the arse!

also tom has most probs told u but look at the panel after and look for dry patches and then just go over then so it all looks wet!

all in good time though you will learn and pick up more!

i never used water based painted, wot are the differences advantages and disavantages in them compared to solvent!

did i hear that they are trying to cut out solvent based paints???

they are cutting solvent based paints in 2007 sometime apart from on commercials, the main advantage to water based paint is the emissions thats why there cutting solvent out, in my opinion solvent is easier to use as with water based you have to apply heavy coats and let it dry inbetween coats using a air dryer, where as with solvent you just put on a drop coat to see if you have any reactions/silicones then paint as normal, also with water based you cant just flat a bit of dust out as youll be using wet flatting and any water near it just takes it straight off, but this is only my opinion, hope it helps
