Hi all,
Im living in america for a year at uni, and i cant live without pes so i took my ps2. bought a tv too and a voltage converter so the ps2 works and everything, i think.
However, the tv is american and it doesnt seem to like the signal being given. Its like when u put ur tv on av-s (i think its called), its black and shite and kinda flickers about like crazy.
Anyone no if this is just something ill never fix or if its a setting or th reason or any help at all?
thanks alot for any help

if you have a PAL PS2 and a NTSC tv, then you need to see if the telly can accept pal signals, otherwise your gonna have to convert it or get a new telly!

seems to be, wording is a bit crap - but you're basically after a PAL to NTSC using composite (if you have 3 phono plugs, white/red and yellow)

yep, re-read it mate....that IS what you are after missed the bit with it having a ps2 plug on it - should work fine if the telly doesn't switch, but most do these days so have a quick flick through the manual or google the model number etc

It might be the refresh rate. PAL is 50Hz, NTSC is 60Hz. Some PS2 games you can change the refresh rate.
I would think the TV would be able to show 50Hz, as many Euro TVs can display 60Hz.

i have no idea wot double interlacing is, but playing about with the 50Hz worked...kinda.
i was play able but the colour was pinkish. then it broke. i think the ntsc convterter was shit and had lose connections so ive ordered a new sturdier one.
cheers boys
