on my corsa 'sport' 1600, ive got a damn huge flywheel(recessed type)
will a flywheels/clutch setup of a 8v sri for example, fit on??...(non recessed type)
i believe there thinner and much lighter?.

anyone done this?.......benificial or not?

fit a flat one from an x14/x16xe and use a matching clutch kit.
the type you have is a 'pot flywheel'

what models was the flat one fitted to?...coz on my x16/x14 and c16 they have all had the 'pot type'

my x16 is definatly the same flywheels as my c16

hello, defo do what i said about the flywheel and swap your black diamond clutch over for the correct one.. the early x14xe's that were fitted with an f13 with the inspection hatch had the non-pot type flywheel, every 16xe i have seen has had the pot type flywheel which is a good couple kg's heavier. basicly any small block (not nova as some were ven smaller flywheels) flywheel which the engine was fitted to an f13 with inspection cover, if i remember correctly lower powered models had smaller clutches, so make sure you get the flywheel which uses the exact same size clutch plate (which you allready have) to the c16xe , as it is just the diaphram which is sdiffarent... think thats clear enough lol... if you want one let me know my mate has one left on his old engine with blew a hole in the piston lol, nothing wrong with the flywheel tho... prob only want 15squids for it... give me a text mate... chris
