Im looking at changing my career path and something i'd love to get into is coaching. Now I know that it's gonna be a hard task to get into it and actually earn any money but i'd love to give it a go and get some badges and maybe teach people.

Does anyone know any ways or sites that can do this and help in my progress?

I trained kids when I was younger helping out a guy at southend and got £7 an hr which wasn't bad as a 18 yr old.

FA coaching badge level 1 is easy to get. im also looking into this aswell. level 2 is a bit harder, and level 3 you need to go through the FA.

costs a bit of money though. definatly going to look into local under 10 clubs, see if i can give a hand, and eventualy get a badge or 2.

My dad is UEFA Qualified, he's got his B Licence, and is currently working towards his A Licence. He coaches down at Huddersfield so can get some info from him if you want.

Best website to look at is the FA. It can cost quite a bit to get the higher badges and it can take a while to do. I know it's costing my dad around 1k to get his A Licence and he's been doing for a year a so now.

Know a few people who have done the badges that are worth doing. All have played at the top of non league football (one professionally in europe) and all say it was very difficult, a lot of revision etc and without the knowledge and experience of playing a good level you would struggle.

Loads of people want to get into coaching mate, in my honest opinion it isn't worth it if your hoping to make money out of it. I'd be interested in doing the badges as I'd like to manage a side when I give up playing but as a career choice? No niche in the market anymore
