Peugeot Sport group a engine mounts, solid as fuck apparently, just waiting on my group n head gasket and the build can get underway. If it doesnt work this time ive actually had it! Put alot of work into this one though so fingers crossed. No corners cut this time!
Will be buying an ashley decat and cat back within the next couple of weeks also hopefully, if it works that is.

Is this still a 1.3 or are you changing the engine?

Any fancy treats in there, or pretty much standard?

Not really apart from the skimmed head if you would count that and the group n gasket, group a mounts, and ashley decat and cat back following the build.

Peugeot sport systems only come in 2 or 3 inch. They are nice, I have seen them on Rallyes before and give good proven gains. Only thing that puts me off is the price.

Is it mainly for track days then, any hill climbs?

Road rallies and enduros. Hopefully the occasional track day, but it wont be set up for track use. I went all out with the mounts, its only the lower engine mount which seperates the group n and a mount sets though. You can get the group a one off ebay for 36 quid. I heard it makes the gearbox whine like a wrc car

I was thinking of trying to get involved with hill climbs, its definately something id like to try. I dont know much about it though and have never bothered to check the regs out but im sure they cant differ much from road rally regulations. My car club doesnt cover many hillclimb events though so I would have to look elsewhere. Concerntrating on the getting the car back on the road first though!

Thats thats right, the solid alloy one for grp A the hard rubber ones for Grp N..
Not sure about the noise, think its the type of gears they have make the sound

I think its something to do with the fact the lower mount sits under the gearbox. Maybe it conducts the vibrations or something, I dont know!

I have Griffiths Engineering quick shift fitter, the throw is short but you have to be very precise. Do you have a link to wear they can be bought? Whats the spec on your car?
