howdy peeps hope you can all help my mate has just bought a stunning corsa gsi and he was wondering would a 1.416v sport kn filter fit?

probably, they are basically the same engine, give or take a couple of things

Apart from if its an early GSi, it'll be a C16 and thus have an airflow meter.

no it wont.

the inlet on the C16XE GSi is larger than the X14XE (sport) inlet.

the pipe diameter is too small on the sport air filter, it wont fill the inlet pipe on the C16XE engine.

You fort right, but there are two types of 1.6 engine.

mine came of a 1 n fits ok n i got a 1.416v sri

it will work the other way round.

i had a filter from a gsi on my 1.4 16v sport, but the pipe on the filter went on the outside of the inlet pipe.

if you put a filter from a 1.4 16v, or late 1.6, on an early gsi, there will be a gap, so it doesnt fit.
