when i try to start my car, it will start for a few seconds and cuts out
i have a 96 corsa sport
my maintanence light is flashing, anybody help me with this one?

immobiliser been covered a hundred times.
Do you have a spare key, has your key come apart recently?

i dont remote central locking on it, so im not sure?

how would i go about fixing this problem, it will start but it just dies out straight away

Needs to be hooked up to diag equipment to find out exactly whats causing the immobiliser to cut in.
It could be your key like ainsley_brader mentioned if its taken a bash or something. Could be a number of things maybe the reciever isnt reading the key properly.
Ideally it needs to go to an auto electrician with diagnostic equipment to be looked at properly

on diagnositcs it will most likely come up just immobiliser certainly on all the aftermarket ones. I dont know if vauxhalls is more indepth where the immob is concerned.
First step is to open up the key and make sure the chip is still in there.
