Have been mooching around AutoTrader..

looking for the Lexus when outside my office window i saw a rather nice black 2002 A4.. was a TDi

check them out on the Trader. and for around £8k i can get a nice A4 with pretty low miles on it. 65k for a 2002

i would want a 1.9TDi because it would be cheaper to run etc..

HELP

I would want to tune it (just remap to get more BHP/Torque)
maybe some wheels and lower it.

what problems to out for ? What things need doing at what age/mileage ??

Cheers

Steve

lupos actully bigger inside, chump is 6ft something and said it has more room than his ibiza iirc

Um A4 right

Anti roll bars crack

Make sure it doesnt hump around revs wise on idel, as some had injector issues

All the front suspension bearing arm issues were sorted on the B6 no no worries there

Cambelt is due at 60k, make sure the water pump is replaced as well, as they have plastic impellas that break

thats about it

If you want to tune it then a TDi is the way forwards. Modern diesels are reletively easy to boost a bit more power out of

It was scary, it felt like the thing was on two wheels... Though I guess your used to being blown all over the place as you have to tie your car down at night in case the wind picks up...

Dad's had a few cars recently - Jag X type. A4 1.9TDi. S40, Jag S Type, A3 1.8T, A3 1.8T Quattro and an S3

of all the cars hes ever owned, and especially the list above from the past 5/6 years he hated the A4 - loathed the engine and the car and got shut of it after 6 months
