i lost my phone so i i got a new SIM sent out to me.
Also does anybody know if when getting a vodfone phone unlocked i can get rid of the vodafone live icon in the menu and replace it with a O2 one?

no tis free to port out to payt from contract with 02, long as ur out of ur contract.
if you had a new sim sent you need to ring up and get it registered to your account and your number unbarred, once this is done the sim will be activated within the hour usually.

ow just re-read ur going from payt to contract, again no it will be free go to o2 store and phone up to do it, you may be charged for the phone though obviously this depends on which phone you get.

I've got the phone ordered.
Should hopefully come tomorrow.
The site I got it from tried to charge me a tenner though.
I thought i'd wait until after I got it.
If I can't port it for free I won'tbe porting it.
I've never read anything about charges before though.

nope 02 wont charge you, not sure about affilate sites though, suppose there free to do what they want.

Lucky I wasn't that bothred about getting it changed or i might have paid.

Just phoned o2 payg customer services to get my pac code.
Guy informed me I can't change my number because it was bought through mobileshop.
I don't know the ins and outs of this but is there any way I can get this done?
Transfer it to a vodafone payg sim for instance then across to my o2 contract.
Nothing on the o2 site to say I can't either
