Is there anyway of stopping headgaskets going on a Corsa Sport? Mines on its way out again and it was only done last year. I don't drive like a dick either, hardly ever over 4k. I let it warmup before it goes over 2k rpm too. Don't know why its gone again!

head bowed? who did the gasket?
could be caused from fan not cutting in? so over heating

I fitted a cool running thermostat and fan switch cos i wasn't happy with it hitting 100'c before the fan cut in. It cuts in at 92.5' now and never goes over it. Normal running temp is about 88'c.

Garage did the headgasket. Didn't skim the head though as they said the gasket was only just gone. Would have got them to skim it if they hadn't told me after they had put it all back together!

i'd get it re-checked for warping mate, also as mentioned -what about warranty on parts/labour?

If the head gasket has gone, It's generally worth gettin the head pressure tested/skimmed anyway to make sure no more damage has happened.
Take it it's a 1.4 16v...

if they didnt skim it they will have had no chance of knowing if the head was warped unless they precision measured it, which i highly doubt
