Ok so i'm trying to run LIVE! through my laptop which is connected wirelessly to a router which is downstairs.
When testing the connection on the XBOX 360, it finds the netword adapter fine no problem but then on the IP address bit it fails, checking more INFO i find the following message :
YOUR CONSOLE WAS UNABLE TO NEGOTIATE A LEASE WITH YOU DHCP SERVER. MAKE SURE THAT ADDRESSES ARE AVAILABLE ON YOUR SERVER.
Could anyone tell what this means and what i can do to fix it, please. Would really appreciate it

Just buy the xbox wireless adaptor.

yuor laptop wont supply dhcp your router will, you wont be able to do it that way unless your laptop is set up as a proxy server

complicated tbh, i would just stick the xbox straight into the router

yeah you'll be fine mate. A friend had the same problem and when her bought the wireless adapter it worked straight away.
