i have searched

When i turn my ignition on (lights on dash) before the car is fired there is like a ticking noise from somewhere in then enigne

ticks twice..........tick tick.............tick tick..........

my car is struggling atm to start up first time, it starts and dies.
any ideas as to what could randomly tick?

i know its a bit vague but any random ideas would be great

could it be the battery.. obviously not the battery making the ticking noise but causing it somewhere in the engine? starter motor or somthing?

Cud be the battery doesnt have enough power and the clicking noise is the solenoids iirc. Happend to my work mates car wen he turned the key to start it clicked wasnt enough power to turn the starter motor so the solenoids clicked as i said iirc lol hope it helps

Also try checking the voltage and current output form ur battery, might give u a beter idea if ur battery is dying or dead!
