Finally.

280mm, not cheap, but look like they'd be worth it.

yeah, but the smaller engined cars have awful brakes
I'm not quite sure what's in the kit, but if it's vauxhall parts, it could be done cheaper than that.

Wonder why it's not available for the 1.8? You'd think they'd be th eones most in need

the 1.8 brakes are fine, and presumably, LMF are making a kit to replace all 4 on the 1.8?

Not discounting the fact thats it's always good to have more powerful brakes. The 1.8's brakes are very good, even after hard use. I wouldn't say they had the strongest initial bite but they do haul the car much better than the g/f's 1.2

completely agree, the brakes on my 1.8 are possibly the best standard brakes I have used for years, even when used hard they stop really well, I prefer them to my 300mm 4 pots infact.

I know the breaks on the 1.8 are good, Mine came with the same set up on the front, and i think there brilliant.
Surely though, anyone with half a brain would get a set of 1.8/1.4 front calipers, disks and pads, and save themselves a few hundred quid .

Worth about £2k yes, but I did not pay that
My standard brakes on the corsa were fantastic.. The only reason I got the Brembos + bigger disks was to stop my Kahn alloys rubbing against the standard wheels....
Yes i know.. An interesting resolution to a problem

No I was just looking at LMFs site and spotted them
Rob H, the 1.4 calipers are the same as the 1.8 ones, but for some reason, they don't work as well...

They probably do, but the 1.8 brakes will feel better on the 1.8 because of the rear disks i'd imagine.

They really don't.
Like you say, it must be to do with the rear discs, or something else in the brake system, but either way, the 1.8 doesn't really need better brakes, but the 1.0/1.2/1.4 do.
