I have sprayed some panels then lacquered them, but the laquer has the orange peel effect, probably because it dried in a cold envirnoment,
What do i need to be doing to the lacquer so its smooth and shiny.
obviously it needs rubbing down smooth but can you use g3 compound and an electric polisher or is there some other way of flatting the lacquer
Any help or advice is very appreciated

wet falt it with 1500-2000 making sure you got all the areas (to have the best shine) or you can just giv it a scuff like a flick down, then use g3 with a machine with a decent polishing head making sur you use water while your machining or you will burn through the paint but not too much as you will dilute the g3, i normally go over it pretty hard then go back over it using more water and not pressing as hard, then after the buffing i use a polishing head (a dimpled one) with final glazing which you dont need to use water with, then when you have finished make sure you use a decent wax or polish to seal the paint work, hope it helps matey,
next time you paint try turning the pressure down slightly, recommended is around 3bar or you could add slightly more thinners but nott too much or your paint will dull and run easy and can cause thinner popping
