Few questions here guys regarding my conversion:-
Engine was from a Calibra with power steering, corsa doesnt have PAS. So Ive got the multirib bottom pulley and alternator.
Is there any belts I can use which dont involve changing to a V belt pulley?
If not, how easy is it to change the alterator and botttom pulley with the engine in the car?
Cheers
Chris

Hi chris. Its not to bad a job. Just a bit tight for space.
If your not using PAS then you need the V type set up mate...
You need to replace the multi ribbed bottom pulley for a V type and the alt need replacing with a V type. Then just purchase a new belt for aound £5 quid and job done.
The bottom pulley can be a bitch to come off. The securing bolts have a habit of rounding so be prepared for that and buy 6 replacments or have some handy to replace.

Right, I've found what I wanted.
Do you need the Multi-rib pulley on an XE conversion?
I have a Late Type Calibra, and the belt is about an Inch thick. What parts are needed?

You can use the multi rib style belt just using a v belt type adjuster and then get a belt right length.
