WAS SO FUCKING COOL!!! it was for Australia Day, F1-11 did a massive fuel dump over the dark sky, i was in the city absolutely shit faced and thought it was some kind of missile lol the sound was immense, making shit fall off rooves and stuff

fuel dump is what it is, dumping fuel from the tail of the aircraft, and it catches alight when the exhaust gases hit it



Afterburn is where extra fuel is dumped into the engines themselves, causes massive increases in power, but huge fuel loss

they look pretty similar to a tornado with the single fin and wingsweep.
