I have a presumed fuel leak where the fuel injector is directly underneath is a large stain and over the last month has got slighlty bigger my question is: is it a serious problem (so far no effect on fuel) and what would need to be done to get it sorted - or is it a proffesional job.

The reason I post this as I really don't want to take it in the garage as they normally find other faults and it gets expensive and I have no car for the day!!

Thanks in advance for any advice all comments will be appreciated.

petrol will evaporate, and if anything, clean not stain...

take the covering off (2 posi bolts) and just check the condition of the rubber o-ring and give it all a good clean!

could just be oil surge
