wrong. Z18XE has been in the C since 2004, it replaces the X18XE when the model received the facelift

300bhp isn't all that much really when 2.0's are putting out immensly more power. They've just had the tuning developemtn done, where as most peopel would opt for a 2.0 Turbo instead of modifying a 1.8 engine...

what about the fact that hes aiming for 400+? i cant believe you are comparing a brand new Z18XE with an engine that has been around for donkeys years and that everyone knows about. you are full of BS. i fixed some of your spelling mistakes too.
for those that arent aware, the turbo is good for 700bhp

wrong. Z18XE has been in the C since 2004, it replaces the X18XE when the model received the facelift
Pretty sure they all got Z prefixed engines, as the Z prefix is showing the engines compliance With Euro4 emmissions standards. Euro 3 engines had Y prefixes, which were enforced early 2000, so the engines would need to meet at least those regs.... i think .

correct, they always were Z prefix in the C, the X18XE is big block.
the Y prefix engines were all diesels.

Very stupid to compare the 2 and if you really want to be correct the engine is a 2.6 as the 2 rotors equate to 2.6 (1.3 each)

actually you are wrong, the rotors are an EQUIVELANT capacity of 1.3 per rotor, but the displacement of air/fuel per "stroke" is only 650cc

Quick question: The cars isn't a facelift model, so why put in a Z18XE, turbo it and spend that amount when he could easily put in a Z20LET??? If it was an 1.8 Sri standard it'd be the X18XE engine. And its not a shop is it???

its in Australia, all australian models have the Z18XE so it seems. and its not just a case of putting in a Z20LET, they are pretty hard to come by without actually buying a car with that engine already in it. and no its not a shop.
Norris may have got that much power from an S14, but that came from the FACTORY with the turbo, with millions invested.
