when my insurance is due up in august keep my corsa and put in a 2ltr red top and change the breaks and that, or shut i buy one already done? and wud ne one know how much it cost to change my 1.2i to a 2ltre engine?

about £3500 to be done by the pro's

if it was me i would buy one done but then a while back i did
i lost alot of money onit as well so be carefull there a lot of shit owt there

a lad from my way does it for £1700 all in proper job as well

you can get a decent enough engine etc... for about £150-£200 squid
then theres the shafts as you will no the list goes on

Loads of people on here have done conversions, at a guess it'll cost near £1500 for everything needed.

Might be worth selling your 1.2 and buying a ready done redtop.

yea my mate sed it 2 me today bcz lyk ive always wanted a 1.4 punto gt but i jst gota qoute for a 2ltre redtop corsa for 1,700 with 1 yrs no claims n thats only 100 more compared to a policy for a gt....1,700 sounds lyk a gd price

im 18.... ye ye i thought that but seen as my corsa is an n reg n has no powerstearin but has only got 46,000 on the clock so thats why im thinking about it

I'd wait a little bit longer mate and get more NCB.

£1,700 sounds steep and I bet its only tpft, and by going from 1.2 to 2.0 you'll stand a bigger chance of slipping off the road and stacking into a field, and that means you'll get no insurance payout.
