might be a daft question, but what does a cat back do? is it just the same as a de-cat? i'm changing my back box for a dual set-up (one either side), so i want to do all the work at the same time but not sure what it does. Is it like these or are these just de-cats

Cat back means its from the cat backwards, which would mean the Cat stays. De-cat means the cat goes.

A Cat-back is an exhaust system that goes from the end of the Cat, to the tailpipe. (Centre box and back box generally).

Cat back is just a way of describing what the exhaust will consist of. Yes you can buy a centre pipe and a back box on their own which means you'd be buying everything from the 'cat back'

The 'cat back' is the exhaust system from the cat backwards! So consists of the centre section AND the tailpipe.
