Hello again all,
got a query now regarding the plumbing of the x16xe...Im confused as to where all the coolant hoses join, and where they're coupled and split into 2 different pipes ect
Also, there are some veeery small outlets next to where the throttle butterfly is, where/what do I need for these/where do they go? I though they were something to do with the secondary air injection, but thats been blanked off?
thanks

Right then, was looking at the part of the loom which fits on the injectors, and the plug connector has one pin missing on the new loom
(on the right hand one, look in the bottom, pin on the left is missing on one of the plugs)
Also, where does this pipe link up to (off the map sensor btw)
And next, where does this fuel vent thing mount, and where do the little pipes connect to off this?
Finally, my method of transport for the weekend

map sensor plugs into the top inlet manifold, and that isn't the tank vent switch, looks like the vac system for the SAI
and i think the injector plug is fine - where does the wire go to

the reason one loom has an extra pin is because its from a later (1997 on) car. it has a 2 wire knock sensor rather than the 1 wire. so if you wave a 2 wire sensor, use the loom with the extra pin in. make sure the other half of the loom matches.
the map sensor vaccum hose goes to the top of the inlet manifold, right on the back above where the rubber hose attatches to the throttle body
the thing you thought was the tank vent valve is actually the SAI solenoid / valve. the top one plugs into the vaccum system, block the side one with a screw. it mounts on the inner wing next to the bonnet switch.

All done...but it doesn't want to fire
Im expecting the x16xe ecu, chip and transponder in the post tomorrow, I was trying my 16xel ecu chip and transponder to see if it would go...but no joy
Also..Am i right in saying the feed pipe for the injection rail is the bottom screw end, and the leak off pipe the top one?

Well...the engine is in, and my face when I took it for a burn was more or less like this
Even with my old X16XEL ecu being used on it, still goes like abosolute stink
Had a couple of niggly probs with the pipes to the expansion chamber being crimped over, and blowing the pipe end out of the fuel rail but all sorted now
Even overtook my buddy in his 2.0 Impreza Sport, he wasn't overly impressed
