I know this wont appeal to everyone, be it that its about Liverpool but....

Tom Hicks was interviewed on Radio Five Live at about 7.30 tonight and it was an excellent interview. I'll try to mention some of the most important points he said...

- That they have paused work on the new stadium but that is because the plans were made 7yrs ago now and things have moved on. He feels the ground should be built around the new Kop, so that is the most important part to get right.

- He only wants to make something that is the best in the world. So when people look at it they know its unique and that it is Liverpool.

- He also spoke about making better use of the land where Anfield is now, with a hotel, and other bars/entertainment type areas around there.

- Has spoken to Rafa a number of times, as has Gillet in great detail on the phone, about the future plans on the club and the tabloid stories just arent true. They have also got a meeting planned the day after the Arsenal game.

- All his family, and all Gillets family will be there for the Arsenal game and will celebrate their first official game as owners of the club that day!

All in all it was a great, great interview. He comes across so well and says all the right things (which might not be the case in the future but its certainly correct right now). And TBH he has done it in such a better way the Glazer at Utd. There were mentioned as having the perfect time to come out as good owners with interviews etc. considering their position in the league and cup but have failed to take advantage.

So they're not only Liverpool fans but they're gay as well. Figures.

I lost interest at this point.

Sounds like he wants whats best for the club and not just for his pocket. If he could combine both though that would be a master stroke.

yes, 18 titles is enough for us!

tbh, were mainly concentrating on those all important reserve titles at the moment.
