yeterday i painted my rocker cover,timing belt cover and my spark plug cover.what do you think?? and i aslo found something floating about inside the head 10 points for the 1st person to guess what it was and dont say cams and followers.

i know i wanst inmpressed with what i found inside the head though.the last person to take the head off must have been a right noob

a wasp? we put a wasp that was stile alive in an xe yesterday, I suppose i could call it an eco friendly exhaust additive, adds a buzz to the engine

oohh very close there were not 1 but 3 old head bolts washers checked all the current ones to make sure they were on.so who ever took the head off last must have left them in

well when i got it it had noisy tappets which i will be replcing anyway but ive noticed its not as bad since i took those washers out.but no it didnt cause any noticable damage.

i know it was a good job.some people just dont give a crap when they are working on cars.f it had happened when i owned the car i would have shoved them up the mechanics nose!apparently the engine was checked over by aldon performance before it was fitted too

how did you manage to paint the spark plug cover and not the writing, when I painted mine i just went over the writing lol

covered the writing with tape and cut around the letters with a stanley blade

ahhhh. will have to do that because i'm thinkin about respraying mine. it is currently black with white spark plug cover. thinkin of doin it yellow with black. dunno why i want it yellow (car is silver) jus think it will look cool lol

yeh yellow might look good.i wanted arden blue to match my car but i couldnt find it so i got polar sea blue pearlescent for the covers and bmw bright red for the spark plug cover
