a nice 6 sided 13mm socket, so you dont round any bolts off

a UJ to get to the tricky bolts

exhaust manifold gasket and maybe a downpipe to cat gasket, and bolts too if there rusty

and a 22mm spanner to undo the o2 sensor

and E8 and E10 socket to undo the SAI pump

Also, it's worth buying some exhaust studs aswell. Just incase you snap any. Better to do it while your doing it than the day after.

If they look rusted, i would replace all the studs and nuts.

Try to remove completely rounded manifold nuts is not fun lol

the aircon pipes seem to be very close and making it impossible to remove the manifold

the PAS mount didnt make any better to remove the left bolt on the manifold...

The aircon pipes can be moved out of the way just enough to get it off. Or, empty the gas and undo the pipes. Then re-gas.

I did it on mine no bother, I think I just pulled the pipes really hard

I also took the manifold out the bottom as the car was on a ramp

Either that, or i'm sure there is a mounting bracket for the pipes somewhere. Undo that.

There is a wire connected to the reversing light switch, just to the right of the manifold, on the gearbox
