Heard quite a few storys that they dont really take on anyone under 20 But still apply and do the tests, and keep applying it shows your keen!
Na mate bleep test isnt hard, when i was in the black watch we had to go to level 12 as minimum and it was easy. Level 9 should be a piece of piss.
Another thing, get working on your back, will be carrying a lot of weight in the fire brigade, and trust me i aint easy. Try putting some weight in a rucksack then going out jogging with it, best way to build up back muscles. Stay clear of dead weights like bottles of water and dumbells though, you will only hurt yourself.

i hadnt heard this before but thanks for warning and if i dont get in now then i will keep trying. I will take your advice and go joging with a heavy rucksack.

Not too heavy mind, build yourself up. Start with no wait, onto 10lbs then 20lbs then maybe 30lbs...Also weights at a gym will help.
