Having sold mine, i now have between £2500 and £3500 to spend......been looking at astra mk 2.0sri, some cheap astra coupes, but i think im not casting my net wide enough! What you recommend? 
Must be migger than a corsa/saxo/106 usual stuff, decent sized engine, 1.8+ what is there.................

1.8 is better than the 2 litre.

In the coupe? 1.8, 2.0 turbo and 2.2 isnt it? Yeah i think i read that on here!
If your refering to the hatchback, whys that!?

Yeah, I mean the hatch mate.
The decent models (SRi, SXi, GSi) had either the 1.8, 2 litre, 2.2 or 2 litre turbo engines.
The 2 litre is crap, the 1.8 is better as the engine is lighter (small block engine instead of a big block) and has nearly as much power, it's half a second quicker to 60 than the 2 litre, with no difference in the top speed.
Basically, just avoid the 2 litre unless it has a turbo
