my old t-reg brocade yellow corsa had 8 previous owners before me, people change cars on average every year these days if not less so this shouldnt be any kind of a problem as long as the car is mechanical sound

Look very ropey!
But looks genuine, C16XE engine (pre Ecotec) as has been said - same lump as my old one - the better choice
