My brother has his tv running through his LCD Samsung. I tried connecting my laptop to his tv and it doesn't automatically work.
Can it work and do i have to change any settings on the laptop to get it to work?

u need to send the signal to the cable usually a picture of a monitor on a numbered key (hard to describe sorry)

It's a Dell and on F8 it says CRT/LCD, I gather thats the one I need to try???

I pressed it to see what comes up and a picture of a laptop came up on screen and went. Mind you i need to go round parents again to try it on brothers computer before I commit to buying the lead
