I have it, your regular tv gets upscaled, and it has BBC HD at the moment. Get 80hrs worth of recording space, and you can also record two programmes whilst watching a third. I highly recommend it, it's been fantastic since we got it. We got the box free, installation free, and our original cable box put in the bedroom. Only an extra £13 a month but well worth it.

I've had the medium TV package for two years but now i've got everything apart from movies and sport. I've also got 4MB broadband, and a phoneline with free weekend calls, all for about £45 iirc

ive got it, very easy to record ect, pity theres only one hd channel and its a bit pants, hopefull there will be more soon.

As for upscaling tv channels, some of them look great others on the other hand look standard.

ABC ect look great, more obscure channels look same as crt if not a tad more pixalated.

Runs at a max of 1080i not sure what sky Hd does.

also has optical sound output but only BBC HD runs 5.1 sound through it, and as said before there nothing decent on there.

Very happy with my v+ box.

Normal SD channels look very very nice, the film on CH5 last night looked near HD quality

The recording of 2 channels while watching a 3rd means i dont miss anything i want to see, and even if i do, Virgin VOD is pretty impressive.

Only downside is the only HD channel is BBC HD, BUT they show cup finals etc on there, so its not all bad.

We are on the VIP package for £80 a month, V+ box, 2x V boxes, 20mb broadband, All channels, Free evening and weekend calls, discounted mobile calls
