on my lass's corsa 1998 1.0 12v the gears are very sloppy and now she has lost reverse, 1st and 2nd

I managed to reset the pin in the linkage and she can now get all except 5th (typical)

I have priced up the linkage from the Stealers and it comes to £130 all in

is there anywhere else that sells them cheaper? If I buy a 2nd hand gearbox will the linkage cojme with it or be left on the car?

im sure u can a repair kit from vaux for this, as they got one for the C as they get same prob, sure about £47 or something!

yeah on ebay there is a load of repair kits

bloke on phone said for the B there is only the complete kit

think i will ring about, try a few scrap yards too

Take them out of the scrappy mate, basic tools and Circlip pliers and you'll be fine.

It would be the actual selector in the car which has gone. I had to replace the gearbox selector and linkeage the other week. Pain in the arse, but didn't cost me more than £30 using second hand parts.

so theres an in-car selector and gearbox selector?

I told her £100 for the lot and she does do a lot of miles so i want it to be done right so might aswel do both
