I've been out with my satnav and RA to see how far out my speedo is.

I have 195x45x15 tyres on.

So far i have come up with this......

Speedo...........GPS

30...................26
40...................36
50...................45
60...................55
70...................65
80...................73
90...................83
100.................93

Thats pretty normal.......

My astra was like that with standard alloys

It good to know coz you can have your speedo saying 80 on the motorway and overtake the cops and they arnt bothered coz round here they'll leave you alone up to 80 on GPS.

tested mine with redlines performance meter and mine was 3mph out at 70 and exactly the same at 140

but my tomtom said i was 5mph out???

195/50/15 would be better to keep your speedo more accuate 45s are too small

When I had the Datatron on my Corsa GSi X16XE the speedo was reading 130mph when infact I was going 117

My corsa on the standard 14s is nearly as bad as that!

gps isnt 100% accurate, but thats about normal

the guy at the tyre shop recommended i get 195/45/15's because 50 profile tyres would make the speedo even more out
