hey guys just wondered how you driveway mechanics took your engine out   wierd question i know
alsoo what would you do when rebuilding an engine?
list at the mo is..
cams/verniers
pistons/rods
head mods valves etcc
flywheel/clutch
metal idlers
gaskets
exhaust manifold
is there something else im missing that i should do

best way is to drop the engine out the bottom of the car along with the gear box as there is insuficiant space to seperate in the engine bay..... buy a haynes manual its great step by step will help you allot. wouldnt advise it if you dont have any expirience can get quite tricky and anoyin.

yer i was thinking droping the engine out the bottom would be better  , just wondered what people used like a trolley or something then jacked the car up

the front of the car need to be on axle stands with suficiant space to remove it from the bottom , lowered onto the trolly from the engine crane.

i just dropped my engine onto a small sheet of wood with a bit of rope tied to it works a treat
