1.3 are good for what they are i would go for the 1.7 ideally though, in standard form i could happily live with the poke of a 1.7 over a 1.3.
If you are looking to buy one i would make sure you buy one with warranty though, egr valves on the 1.3 are quite a common problem (suprise suprise) although vauxhall have introduced a newer ECU software version that is supposed to make the egr self clean. not too convinced it works if im perfectly honest
