Headlines on the papers today about the huge killer flu heading for britain - is this because our government is suspicious that biological weapons will be used on us by the iraqis?

Makes sense if you ask me......

Seems a bit strange? we are nearly into march i would have thought that would be it for flu now until next winter?

I was thinking about it for a while this morning and it makes sense that they would prepare without causing mass hysteria.

yeah but a biological weapon would devestate imediatley, i.e kill hundreds/thousands at anyone time
where as the flu might pick of one or two a day, if it is a cover up think they need a better cover.

I'd like to see someone actualy make a flu virus. it is very difficult to do. 8 strands of RNA as a genome muhahaha. even making normal virions from the bare genomic strands is hard but actually mutating it to somethign which is infectous is not likely

It might be a virus that has the same symptoms as flu - thats what i was getting at.

in war you better badly wounding people.......

if they are dead you have taken out 1 person

if they are wounded then you take them out, a medic, nurses, doctors etc

aching of the head, back, arms, and legs
muscle and joint pain, sore throat and a dry cough, nausea, burning eyes, fever that may rise to 102 F - 104 F that usually subsides after two or three days, runny nose
