me and will94 had a race. he kept up with me quite well.

my car is a standard 1.6 16v. his is a striped 1.4 16v with mantzel and power boost valve. what sort of power should his car be running?

i think together we can beat 106 gti's

Think they give about 15-25bhp dont they IIRC

they probs add about 10 bhp on a 1400 maybe a few horses more ?

on the x16xe an 14xe they are supposed to give 12-15
on c16xe they supposed to give ya 15-20, but you will only see around the 15 mark with a remap. or so the guy told me when i bought mine try this

this is what i have got on mine well worth the money believe me, notice main differance after 4000rpm, lot more torque

Depends what mods you have, they wont add 20+ bhp on there own! I'd recommend other mods to compliment the flow

my tuned mantzel'd 1.4 16v (approx 120bhp) beats a 11bhp 1.6 (frodizzle) and keeps up with a powerboxed 1.6 (corsa e-tech) apart from uphills

once the superchip is working and i can rev higher, then i would beat him hopefully

You actually see better gains on the 1.4 than the 1.6 as the manifold on the 1.4 is more restrictive.

I gained 28bhp in total on my 1.4, and with the same mods on a 1.6, I gained 21bhp.

this is true, i seem to be getting same power as similar mods on a 1.6 but with less torque
