Im looking for a new car, and im going to buy one on friday or saturday, the thing is, my dads paying for the insurance, but isnt coming with me to view the car,. (1.4 sport )
Would i be able to phone up an insurance company, give them my details, and the car details, then get my dad to phone them up with the reference number to give them card details to pay?, so i can drive the car home.
Its the only way i can think of doing it?
cheers for any help..

When getting insurance it can take 12 - 24 hours to process so u wudnt be able to drive the car there and then anyway. If i were u i wud just drive the car home anyway (considering its not overly far) becasue i cant see the police doing anything. Only thing is if ur in a crash, which is unlikely.
But you could do this - fone up with all details and then get the reference number. Im not sure if all companies take 12 - 24 hours, sum might be instant although i havent heard of any.

Don't drive the car home without insurance, stupid thing to do.
Tesco insurance can be started from the second you ring them

Crap, every time I have needed to insure a car you can take out cover from the moment you ring up.

you can ring them up and get a quotation number off them, if you decide to buy the car, get your dad to ring them up with the quotation number, give some details and you will be covered
