Can you do it? I have a 96 Sport and always wondered if it could be done as I think it was an optional extra?

So true, 2 GSi's, both were fucked. Got rid of mine now, thank god!

It comes in too soon, it's sometimes too harsh, sometimes it's too soft. Worst ABS i've ever had the pleasure of using.

i went from a 1.6 with XE brakes (no ABS)
To a L reg Gsi with Abs and found it alot better under braking and no back end locking up

reason i dont like it is because when i had a mk2 gte 16v it didnt feel like it was going to stop half the time. would rather feel the lock up point with my own foot

If you know how to use your brakes, you don't need ABS.

i know how to use my brakes thanks but the rear end used to lock up and if you brake when cornering even slightly your fuked pretty much, i know that people who have messed with the bias loads still had trouble with the rear end locking up etc..

Never had a problem with rear bias after adjustmnet TBH. I backed mine right off. Back never overtakes the front, and from 70 will stop in a straight line. Maybe some seize?

My rears lock up, havn't adjusted the bias, need to get it done really.
