I will ask Simon Norris

...talk to Andy Walker, he will tell you the 'performance' spark plug market is to get pocket money out of boy racers

iridium plugs are much better than normal ones .. less chance of fouling ,last longer and tend to give better spark

in my opinion, i would list them as it would be the same as using magnacore leads, they give so much more spark and dont blow out when boost comes in....

if you havent got a good spark then it wont run right surely

magnecore leads are shit tbh, they corrode the ends far too quickly. not even worth bothering changinf from the original gm c20let leads. theyre by far the best

Uprated plugs are need for a few reasons, as they have cold rating so uprated turbo engines need a colder plug. Some high powered engine need special tipped plugs to stop them burning/blowing out.
GAZ'D off here keep burning his plugs when using his 2nd stand NOS, so i have sent him some HKS s45 plugs (£20 a plug). So somone having the same problem in the future may look into the same plugs.

I feel listing the plug may help people who are planning a big engine builds, some kind of guide line to follow. like people run Ford RS Turbo plugs in there C20LETs to stop them braking down then on boost.

Oil can make a fair difference y'know, the thinner the oil the less drag so more power! Obviously this offers less protection but on race spec engines it doesnt matter as you expect to have to rebuild them!! Formula 1 cars use the equivalent to a 0W20 if I remember rightly, think Silkolene actually sell something of a similar spec!

Spark plugs are also a pretty important engine mod, especially in a modified turbocharged engine......as engine temp increases you need a colder grade pug to withstand the extra heat.

Fair enough tho, I wouldnt include them in my spec sheet unless the engine was very highly tuned!!!

Im sure he uses a different temp rating compared to standard, yes

but these special metal performance ones are twonk IMO. Especially on a n/a engine with filter and exhaust lol
