Was looking at the today you are able to get quite a bit for your money money so has:

What they like?
What drop can you get on 18" without rubbing

at the end of the day its a rover with a kit on but there not bad cars. pretty sure ive seen 19s and a 60mm drop with no trouble at all

rovertech is a good forum too for rover/mg advice, I wouldn't buy one though after the rover group going bust, no one wants to work on them, and its a struggle to get parts.

not true, parts are readily available from most places there never has been a problem getting parts.
look at www.mg-rover.org plenty of info and sales on there for you

don't get a 1.4.... having raced one the damn thing even struggled to keep up with me on the motorway in my 1.5td lol. Nice looking cars, not bad ride but not my cup of tea.

1.4 is as quick as a saxo vtr so somewhere around the same speed a gsi or a sport i should imagine.
not too bad a car really, just make sure it werent made on a friday afternoon

a tuned one with a filter/exhaust system beat me, i was impressed with the power of it, if i could rev to 7000rpm like the mg then i might of been a different matter

i'd hardly call sticking a back box and a "filter" on a 1.4 tuning.
the 1.4s are good lumps with 105bhp...well good until coolant starts mixing with oil anyway
