Just wondering what the average sort of price is for water and electricity as I need to start budgeting my money as I move into my new flat in exactly a week
It has electric storage heaters, electric boiler and and an electric oven and hob so no gas to think about. Then there's water too...

depends on size of place.... I'd think 50 would be an optimistic estimate for leccy if the boiler, heating etc are all on

Just going with what I am for smallish flat combined electric & gas. £50 will probably be there or thereabouts.
Unless your one of these tarts that has the heating pumped up 24/7

Na, it's gooing to be turned off most the time as the place has decent double glazing which gives you solar heating and keeps the place supprisingly warm. That and the water boiler keeps the hallway warm too.
It's got a large master bed, small second room, small kitchen diner and a small bathroom so all in all it's a pretty small place.

My leccy is about £50 a month for a 2 bed flat with electric heating. Also run a couple of PCs 24/7 so that probably adds £5-10ish...
My old flat it turned out we average around £90 a month (had a massive bill when we moved out) but we left both the night and daytime water heaters on all the time (lazy) and ran the air con a lot in the summer.

I don't pay for water directly either. It's paid for out of the service charge for the building I'm in (water bill is for the whole building)...

I've not paid for water in two years as they've just not billed me. That'll be a nice surprise when it lands.
£50pm should well cover it if you're sensible.
