I am absolutely useless when it comes to ICE, what i wanna know is can i run 500W SPL sub on a 400W boss amp, cheers, jamie

You can but yoyu arent supposed to as the amp is supposed to up the power of the sub so that it is louder and clearer to be careful and you will need an amp wiring kit(just wires) that can stand up to the power that is being passed through them Try speeding.co.uk and for interiors as deliverys free.Good luck

need more details..is the amp mono? r the values in RMS or PEAK?
Generally not a good idea to underpower a sub though as u get clipping easily at higher volumes...
