Depends, if you go for the Ultra ones they will pass an MOT because they still give off the right amount of light.

i have the none E abc design ones and mine passes the mot last 2 times anyway i have coloured bulbs not reflecters and the light is as good on mine as on me mates e marked smoked ones so...... plus the all clear ones like u want suit my silver car better anyway

If you havent got reflectors you should fail MOT, the reflectors are there so that when your car is parked people can see it at night. WIthout them it should fail.

I've never seen a car fail an MOT due to lack of refelectors.
All the MOT tests are light emissions - if they're bright enough.
The non E-marked units will pass MOT's, and at about 60 quid they're hard to beat for value for money.

Nevertheless, rear red reflectors are a neccesity. You could fail an MOT if they are not present on the rear of the car.

Mine are not E-marked and have passed 2 MOTs, I ahavent stuck the poxy reflectors on the back, and the police or MOT testers have never said anything about lack of relfectors.

Yes, but 99% of MOT stations won't fail you for this. Therefore it's not really a necessity. They also look bloody stupid stuck on your tailgate!
The cheapest place is probably PVD - £60 now for Ultra clear tail lights and plenty in stock.
