i think your fuel may be more from driving abroad for the last few years to shows.......more than £185 imo

yes it is quite a boat, is very long too! loads of room inside though which is always a plus

edit: yeah its only money though, will have such a laugh doing it

You say this is well built? Wasn't this the era when Merc were cutting corners in terms of quality etc and went a bit down hill?

nope. this is the W124 model, the last of the 'true' Mercedes, after this model was finished Mercedes brought in a cost saving regime to make Mercs more available to the general market, by being cheaper to produce

Let us know how you got on and how much it ended up costing. I'd love to do something similar next year, instead of a dull old package holiday.

The panzerwagon is indeed an auto, and so much happier cruising down the autobahns rather than plonking around town traffic

Me and 2 friends have just done it in a volvo 460 which we won in a pub. Went all the way to the ukraine and back in it. Awesome road trip. Fuel doesnt get much cheaper but the beer went down to about 20p a pint!
