I put a K&N on my 1.4 8v SRi, it already had a magnex back box, I did not have the car rr'ed before mods but now its producing 91bhp, 10 up on Vauxhall's stated standard figure, the throttle response is up and obviously more noise! But I cant say for sure that the power has increased from standard, Since the rr I have replaced the K&N with a BMC huge cone not designed for my corsa and it makes the K&N feel restrictive along with a cold air feed and a heat shield, I will get this rr'ed soon and see if there is a difference, but I think these kind of mods only work well on some engines, not 16v's. But I'm sure my Corsa wont have come out the factory with 91bhp

i had a k&n on my gsi, and yeam it sounded nice, but i had flat spots, lumpy rev range and terrible fuel consumption
took it off, cars quieter, smoother, faster and more economical
never ever get a k&n again
oh and theyre shit in the warm too

Legal note if K&N read this: The above is just a rumour and I have no hard evidence
